3rd Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival films showcase wilderness in all of its forms

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival begins its statewide tour in Reno on October 13 with a selection of 14 uniquely inspiring films examining wilderness in its many and varied forms. The festival stops in Mesquite on October 26 and Las Vegas on November 2. Robin Holabird will emcee the Reno event, and Adam Bradley, whose stunning walk across Nevada is chronicled in one of the festival films, Walking the Line, is scheduled to appear at the Las Vegas event. The Reno and Las Vegas festivals also offer live music, and all three venues feature eco-informational exhibits, raffle prizes and tasty food and micro-brews.

The announcement on June 9, 2010, of a new partnership between the International Atomic Energy Association’s Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (IAEA-PACT) at the Breast Health Global Initiative’s Global Summit on International Breast Health in Chicago came with great excitement and interest.
