This month’s Designing Divas Night Out at Real Deals on Home Decor offers a free event featuring interior designer Lisa Moore with tips on how to “Do it like a designer.” Participants may submit design dilemmas in advance of the event, and several will be chosen to demonstrate Moore’s design solutions.

Zink: The Myth, the Legend, the Zebra is presented by an all-local cast of young people ages 8 to 18 in seven showings beginning January 20 and including a final free show on January 30.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival begins its statewide tour in Reno on October 13 with a selection of 14 uniquely inspiring films examining wilderness in its many and varied forms. The festival stops in Mesquite on October 26 and Las Vegas on November 2. Robin Holabird will emcee the Reno event, and Adam Bradley, whose stunning walk across Nevada is chronicled in one of the festival films, Walking the Line, is scheduled to appear at the Las Vegas event. The Reno and Las Vegas festivals also offer live music, and all three venues feature eco-informational exhibits, raffle prizes and tasty food and micro-brews.
